The rules for using UAV Campus and the AI Flight Instructor, in plain language.

What UAV Campus is
UAV Campus helps you prepare for the FAA Remote Pilot (Part 107) knowledge test: practice questions, practice exams, study materials, and an AI Flight Instructor that explains answers from the course materials and FAA sources. It is a study aid. UAV Campus is not affiliated with the FAA, our practice questions are similar to the test but are not the actual test questions, and we cannot promise you will pass.
The AI Flight Instructor can be wrong
The AI Flight Instructor is built to answer from the course materials and the regulations, but AI can still make mistakes. Check anything important against the FAA source it shows you, and never rely on it for real flight decisions: before you fly, follow the current FAA rules, charts, NOTAMs and authorizations.
Your account
- One account per person, with an email address you can receive mail at. You sign in with a code or link we email you, so keep your email account secure.
- Do not share your account or create extra accounts to collect more free credits.
- Give us your real name and email. If they change, you can ask us to update them through Support.
Credits and payments
- Free credits: every verified member gets free AI credits each month (300 today). Unused free credits do not carry over to the next month. Entering the Udemy course code adds a one-time bonus.
- Purchased credits: $5 buys 1,000 credits, paid through Stripe. Purchased credits never expire.
- Refunds: purchases are non-refundable. [Chris to confirm: any exception, for example a charge made by mistake.]
- We may change how many free credits members get, what an answer costs in credits, or the price of new purchases. Credits you already bought keep working.
Fair use and daily limits
To keep the AI affordable and available for everyone, there are daily limits: on free AI answers per member, on the voice, and on the site's total AI use. When a limit is reached, the instructor answers straight from the UAV Campus course materials until the next day instead of using the AI.
Rules
Please do not:
- Try to trick the AI into ignoring its instructions, revealing its setup, or doing things unrelated to the Part 107 test.
- Use bots, scripts or scrapers on the site, sign up in bulk, or get around the sign-up and rate limits.
- Copy, resell or republish the practice questions, course materials or AI answers, except for your own study.
- Attack, overload or probe the site, or use it to break the law.
If you do, we may pause the AI on your account, hold your free credits, or suspend or delete your account. Repeated attempts to trick the AI pause it on your account for a day automatically.
Our content and yours
The practice questions, explanations, course materials, design and the AI Flight Instructor belong to UAV Campus. FAA documents we link to or host are public FAA publications. You keep your own words: by asking questions and sending messages you let us use them to answer you, run the service and improve the course, as our Privacy Policy describes.
The Udemy course
The full video course is sold on Udemy. Buying and taking it there is covered by Udemy's own terms. The course code you find inside the course only adds bonus credits here.
No guarantees
We work hard to keep UAV Campus accurate and online, but the site is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. FAA rules and the test change, and we cannot promise every answer is current, complete or error-free, or that the site will always be available. [Lawyer to review.]
Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, UAV Campus is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including a failed test or any flight decision, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. [Lawyer to review; Chris to confirm the governing state.]
Ending your account
You can ask us to delete your account at any time through Support. We may suspend or end accounts that break these rules. Purchased credits are lost when an account is deleted.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms. When the change is important we will tell members by email before it takes effect; using the site after that means you accept the new terms. Questions? Reach us through Support.
